Daniel Sassano - Nashville

Daniel Sassano – Award-winning Soccer Player

A student at Northern Illinois University, Daniel “Danny” Sassano is a former player at Inter Nashville FC. He began his soccer career at Forestview High School in Gastonia, North Carolina. As a defender/midfielder, Daniel Sassano contributed to significant team accomplishments.

In high school, Mr. Sassano helped his team win various NCHSAA (North Carolina High School Athletic Association) tournaments, which included the 2006 Gazette Cup Champions. In addition, the group became the Conference Champions from 2006-2008 and participated in the 2008-2009 All-Conference/All-State Championships. Mr. Sassano was also part of the NCYSA State Team, where he played at the USYS ODP (US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program)/ State Select Soccer championships between 2004 and 2006.

Mr. Sassano played at the club soccer level, appearing for the North Meck Academy soccer team between 2008 and 2009. He became the 2008-2009 US Soccer Academy League Player during his club soccer tenure. His other soccer achievements and recognitions include the 2006 Jefferson Cup Finalist, 2005 CASL Showcase Finalist, 2006 Julian Brown Finalist, and 2001, 2002 & 2003 Twin City Classic Champions.
